Martial law has been expanded in Helena Arkansas to include the ENTIRE town.

To alleviate the confusion of a few folks, the "DNC" here means the Convention, not Howard Dean's "DNC".

City readies warehouse for mass DNC arrests

Some protesters arrested at the Democratic National Convention could be jailed in a city- owned warehouse, complete with metal cages and barbed wire, CBS4 News has learned.

Investigative reporter Rick Sallinger discovered the location and managed to get inside Tuesday for a look. The newly created lockup, in a warehouse northeast of Denver, contains dozens of metal cages made of chain-link fence material, topped by rolls of barbed wire.

Each of these fenced-in areas is about 15 feet by 15 feet, with a lock on the door.

A sign on the wall reads "Warning, electric stun devices used in this facility."

Land of the Free, ya know.

A 24 hour curfew more or less means martial law, yes? House arrest for everybody?

The siege there is already a week old and just now seeing a little news.

I was using the other day, with a lot of other people, and thinking about all the money I have blown over the years...how much I could possibly had now, if only I had not accepted the normalcy of it.

It started when I was a teenager and I struggle to break free now.

It's wasting my life's resources.

Well, another measure of how big cannabis relegalization is, why the Democratic Party MUST be the ones to fix this ridiculous situation (once they are done fully-supporting continuing it that is)is this "little" situation wherein Barney Frank has filed a bill to add some very limited and sp[specific changes to medical marijuana laws and the Bush Administration felt the need to crash his press conference and alienate pretty much everybody with his bizarre reefer mad screed.

Rebuffing Dennis Kucinich’s calls for impeachment hearings on George W. Bush, the House Judiciary Committee instead will hear testimony about Bush’s "imperial presidency" and several of his administration’s scandals.

In a press release issued [last]Thursday, Rep. John Conyers, House Judiciary Committee chairman, said his panel will explore a variety of Bush controversies, including manipulation of prewar Iraq intelligence, politicization of the Justice Department, and refusal to cooperate with congressional investigations.

It is purporting to discuss an article from the "Family Security Matters" "think tank", which is apparently associated with Dick Cheney. The sounds of the article are classic Dick.

I cannot comment on the sources: neither are familiar to me, but that sort of adds to the interest of this bit, because I tacitly accept that there would be another "think tank" hitherto unnoticed or unsung, that would have some dipshit policy like this with which to sally forth and make the attempt to deliver with the straightest of faces.

However it is filled with hate for America, hate for Democracy, and hate for Arabs, and encourages some very bad things.
