If this doesn't scare the shit out of you enough to help defeat Bush, nothing will.
From the Associated Press:
Clarence Thomas has been interviewed by White House lawyers as a possible choice to be the next chief justice of the United States, says the author of a new biography.
Tony Randall Dies
Tue May 18, 2004 at 08:50:48 AM PDT
Sad news:
Tony Randall, the comic actor best known for playing fastidious photographer Felix Unger on "The Odd Couple," has died. He was 84.
Randall died in his sleep Monday night at NYU Medical Center of complications from a long illness, according to his publicity firm, Springer Associates.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Harlan Randall, who made him a father for the first time at age 77, and their two children, 7-year-old Julia Laurette and 5-year-old Jefferson Salvini.
From his brilliant work in the Rock Hudson/Doris Day movies to 'The Odd Couple' to his many, many appearances on David Letterman, I have spent my entire life enjoying the talent of this genius actor.
He will be greatly missed.

Here are some tidbits from articles in the Sunday edition of the New Orleans Times-Picayune concerning that bunch 'representing' us in Washington:
Louisiana Governor: Blanco vs Jindal
Thu Nov 13, 2003 at 03:44:36 AM PDT
Voting for Louisiana's next Governor takes place this Saturday. The candidates are Democrat Kathleen Babineaux Blanco and Republican Piyush 'Bobby' Jindal.
I've always hated political commercials and speeches because they rarely reveal anything about a candidate. They all love their families, they all want to help educate children, they all want to fight for YOU, blah, blah, blah. I have always found it far more interesting (and informative) to find out the seemingly useless, unimportant details of a candidate's life. Those answers can be far more revealing.
With that said, I thought some others might enjoy the following.
Chris Rose, a columnist for the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper, interviewed Blanco and Jindal. Here are some of their responses:
