"I think that since we now know Sen. McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. And I think it’s imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold. I believe that I’ve done that. Certainly, Sen. McCain has done that and you’ll have to ask Sen. Clinton with respect to her candidacy,"
I'm glad I'm a Democrat, and I'm glad that we have strong candidates at many levels of elected government. I'm glad that DailyKos has been a pretty much indispensable part of the growth of the return of the grassroots for the Democratic Party, and I'm glad that I, like so many others, have had the chance to interact and communicate.
But I owe everyone here an apology for the ways I've been interacting lately.
Every Republican, including Novak and Drudge, would dearly love to see the Democrats divide over personality and style. This post is a reminder to those whose candidate of choice is not Sen. Clinton not to drink the GOP

Not that I read the (Tory) Daily Telegraph with any regularity, but Marcos' coming in at no. 12 on the Telegraph's list of the 100 most influential liberals is not only well deserved recognition for his accomplishments in bringing us all together, but also for the real grassroots in the United States.
Malcolm's critique of Salon's Farhad Manjoo's attempted take-down of RFK Jr.'s Rolling Stone article on Ohio voting in 2004 led me to wonder about how members of the Kos community are getting their news these days...
One of the few advantages of being on Don Wildman's American Family Association e-mail list is the opportunity to use their mass e-mail campaigns for a little samizidat of one's own. In this case, the Good Reverend would like his myrmidons to e-mail Sen. Schumer concering the Roberts nomination.
"There's a terrible sense of dread filtering across America at the moment and it's not simply because of the continuing fear of terrorism and the fact that the nation is at war. It's more frightening than that. It grows out of the suspicion that we all may be passengers in a vehicle that has made a radically wrong turn and is barreling along a dark road, with its headlights off and with someone behind the wheel who may not know how to drive."
